Ecodan software update. Real or scam?
Posted by: @morganJust received an email telling me that my Ecodan ASHP requires a software update. Anybody else had this and confirm it isn't a scam of some sort please?
email is from: meu-uk.lesecodanquality@meuk
Hi - last week a Mitsubishi service tech installed a software update to our 11.2kW R32 unit. Apparently it alters the behaviour of the linear expansion valves (located above the accumulator), as a precaution to avoid a potential problem with noise due to oscillation of the valves. We don't have any experience of any such noise problems.
Guessing it could be the same update as the one that I just spotted you had mentioned here.
Mitsubishi were supposed to come on two previous occasions but cancelled at the last minute.

20x430W Jinko TOPCON Tiger Neo solar; Luxpower 6+4kW hybrid inverter; 20kWh LFP battery storage
