Hi, I've got a recurring issue with my Samsung heat pump. It will work fine for a few weeks and then bring up an E111 error code. I check the pressure, release what air I can from the system, then restart it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and just repeatedly gives me the error code until it decides to work again.

Looking online it looks like a water pressure issue but I can't see any places I haven't released air from to raise the pressure, and the tank pressure is fine.

Any ideas?

and the tank pressure is fine.

What do you mean by the tank pressure exactly, do you mean the pressure in the heating system or something else?

I think this error could also occur if the filters are blocked.  The dynamic pressure drop could cause a marginal system pressure to become an unacceptably low pressure as measured by the heat pump.

4kW peak of solar PV since 2011; EV and a 1930s house which has been partially renovated to improve its efficiency. 7kW Vaillant heat pump.

@tomf are you sure the error code isn’t E911? If it is, as James has said, that’ll be a blocked filter that’s leading to a flow error.

Also, what controller are you using? Samsung or third party?

@tomf I’ve been sent this from a service engineer at Samsung that identifies the issue as a comms error with a third party controller.
