[Solved] If the supplier won't commission my Heliotherm heat pump what should I do next?
As far as I am aware of is charged and ready to come to life.

I just read the German manual and indeed there are no particular actions to perform re the machine. A form needs to be filled out, but that won't stop the machine from working.
Hi Dicky,
So far I have only been able to locate user/operator manuals, which unfortunately do not show any wiring details. I assume that you have removed the covers and looked for obvious connection points.
Based upon my experience of heat pumps from other manufacturers, I would expect some form of communications cable between the controller and the outdoor unit. Both units will obviously require a power supply, and there will also be outputs from the controller to pumps and valves, and possibly an immersion heater via a suitable contactor.
You could try info@heliotherm.com and ask for a list of UK installers.
The wiring is fine between the various units. See the attached drawing "2018 HELIOTHERM... '. However, there are a bunch of cables to terminate in the control panel... That's the bit I do not have yet
That diagram is a good start @longbyre. We do at least now know that we're expecting
- mains cables to UFH pump(s) and Heating Controllers
- 2-core wire from an external temperature sensor
- 2-core sensor wire (0-10v DC) from the pump between the external unit and the buffer-tank
Once we have a photo showing the inside of the main Control Box, I expect we can make some intuitive decisions of what connects where.
There are a number of different 'standards' for such wiring. So we should also be able to tell a lot by simply looking at a cable.
Save energy... recycle electrons!
Did you pay for any of it on credit card? Any come back possible there if commissioning was part of it?
I just spoke with them. My mail of two weeks ago had gone lost.... Some kind asks from my side were met with accusations. They did not want to commit to actually responding to my mail.
Reviews of the company by installers are not good. Many installers in DE and AU no longer ordering with them.
On the wiring diagram, I could not find any in the installation manual.
I hate to say it, but LongByre to me it looks you are on your own now, except some on this forum that will be helping you to get the thing going. Do try to recover your money if possible as suggested by Andehh.
Update.
I found a partner company for Heliotherm, MJS Energy, based in Powys.
They have been magnificent.
They understood everything. They sent a team to get the installation and commissioning done. They are handling the sign off.
Once you get a reliable engineer and marry them to the Heliotherm.... Magic.
The Heliotherm equipment is very good. Quiet and efficient. Controllable and not totally unpleasing to look at.
Bring on the cold weather
Thanks to Ryan, Andrew and the rest of the great team at MJS Energy
@longbyre I just came across your thread and you'd stated bring on the cold weather. Was curious to hear how things have gone this winter. Please give us an update.
