@ceebee They were saying the bodge job I had was OK (which was not Vaillant's view) both the idiot who did it and the director who was dealing with it...

Thanks CeeBee yes a picture would be appreciated. I assume Vaillant charged for the part and if so did the installer pick up the tab?

I have just been quoted £245 pa servicing for a new Vaillant 12kw machine, this is certainly more than I expected and more than servicing my oil boile...
