Vaillant Aerotherm Plus
Can some one with an Aerotherm Plus please take a picture of the electrical connection cover on the back of their external unit please. Mine has been properly bodged (not even screwed up) and isn't neither weather or gas proof (install manual says it should be both). I'd like to show the company that did mine what a good one looks like.
Thanks
I'll ask Vaillant directly if they can be of assistance.

My 7kw aerotherm plus heat pump has a metal clip at the top and just 2 screws at the bottom
Hi, apparently this 'bodge' is common, it happened to ours last winter but we werent aware until it ceased working when it was really cold 🙁 the installer prozed that panel off then balanced it back in place and didnt tell anyone! Water got in and shorted it. We had to have vailant out with a new part, it took a while to order and replace too. Once undone the panel slots in with clips so it fits flush, so it needs to fit snuggly or if they have broken it like ours was you need to make it weather proof now and get them to replace asap . will get you a photo of ours if still needed
Thanks CeeBee yes a picture would be appreciated.
I assume Vaillant charged for the part and if so did the installer pick up the tab?
@witchcraft Vailant covered the cost of the part and repair although we felt the installer should have really, it was quite obvious that prizing it off wasnt going to end well
Hope these help
@ceebee, good to know Vaillant offer this support. Many of the major heat pump manufacturers don’t extend the same level of support.
