New Vaillant aroTherm Plus in black - When will it come to the UK?
It looks like Vaillant are updating the aroTherm plus line of heat pumps, now in black. Their German website suggests it will be available there in September 2025. Does anyone know when it will be available in the UK?
I have an install booked for the end of September and prefer the look of the new one, plus any other improvements it may have, so if it's out anytime soon I may look to delay.
No idea, but bear in mind if you have a BUS grant I think it expires after 3 months, but I think you may be able to re-apply, check with your installer.
I was wondering this, maybe it will take a bit longer for the UK factory to switch over.
It's hard to know if you're comparing like for like, but from the ErP documents the new one looks a little bit more efficient and quieter, but otherwise similar dimensions and outputs. The biggest difference is probably the colour and the required installation clearances (being smaller on the new one).
@sandy, I'll send Vaillant an email tomorrow and see if they can provide any timelines.

@editor @sandy I tried contacting them via Whatsapp but the person I spoke to said they were not aware of it coming to the UK yet/ had not heard anything about the new model. Funny enough we were about to go ahead with ours but saw yesterday that there was potentially a new model coming out. I have posted a link below to the new model on the German site which says its coming out next month. Not sure when this would come to the UK but would be nice to know.

@brad I've also not heard back from Vaillant. I'll follow up again on Monday.
@aventus-eco and @patrickvito you guys fit a lot of Vaillant units. Do you have any insights on this?

@editor I know it was formally announced at Ish the other month in Germany.
I have no further insight but we are told Q4 this year which usuall means Q1/2 next year 😉

The ones shown in March had a tidy-looking base, but it looks like shipping models will use the old design. Probably a wise move.

Someone in my 🐙 (unofficial) heat pump FB group has painted their Daikin matt black. They cleared it in writing with Daikin first to make sure the guarantee was not affected. They used various different paints for different parts - eg spraying the grills. It looks good.
Hope they know what they're doing regarding paint types, sounds like it anyway. Lots of heat pumps have designs so you can have it wrapped, I've seen green to match a hedge and IMS did one in brick that was featured in Grand Designs 😁

@patrickvito We have had car dealers re-powder coat there Mitsubishi systems the same colour as the clad on their buildings and its looked very good, we have also had several wrapped for customers this seems to work well.
