Posted by: @ashp-bobba@patrickvito We have had car dealers re-powder coat there Mitsubishi systems the same colour as the clad on their buildings and its looked very good, we have also had several wrapped for customers this seems to work well.
Ooh, heat pumps in neon blue wrap 🤣 🤣 🤣
Samsung 12kW gen6 ASHP with 50L volumiser and all new large radiators. 7.2kWp solar (south facing), Tesla PW3 (13.5kW)
Solar generation completely offsets ASHP usage annually. We no longer burn ~1600L of kerosene annually.
I asked Vaillant, who responded:
The new range of Vaillant heat pumps are due for launch in the UK mid-2026. Further information about the ranges will be released early 2026.
Hi,
Is there any update on when this new Vaillant heatpump will be coming to the UK?
@crankplus, nope, still not, and I've followed up with Vaillant. Their lips are sealed. But wonder if anyone else has heard anything.

I contacted Vaillant UK also and their response was as follows:
“Currently we can only provide quotes and technical specifications on our current product range. Once the new products are out which is scheduled for April onwards, we will then be able to provide further information on them and provide quotes and designs. “
Perhaps they’ll be happy to talk about it from April.
@crankplus our contacts at Vaillant were either reassigned or left during 2026, so we're currently in a bit of a communications limbo with them. What I do know is that they have a major product announcement event at Silverstone next month, so it could well be unveiled there.
That said, as I've been typing this, I've thought of an industry insider with very close ties to Vaillant. I'll reach out to him and see if he's heard anything.

I was very interested in the black version and hoping it would be available by the time of our install.
I'd always aimed at getting a Vaillant unit, but the noise issue with the 7kw version put me off and I abandoned the Vaillant route.
As the black one wasn't available (and seemed unlikely it'd be around until well into 2026 at the best), I opted for the tried and tested Daikin 8kw HP (which so far is running perfectly and absolutely silent, bar the minimal fan noise when standing next to it outside).
I have been pleasantly surprised how quite it is, despite all the negative press.
So, on very good authority, I have been told that the Vaillant aroTherm will be available in the UK in anthracite grey. The new aroTHERM Plus will available from April and the aroTHERM Pro (a cheaper model) will be available from May.

I know logically that the colour of a heat pump can be important to someone and I wouldn't criticise someone for holding that opinion, but I must admit I can't find myself concerned about it at all. If I had an entirely free choice, I'd probably want something that blended in with the garden and, in fairness, ours would be well on the way to being a kind of mossy green if our installer didn't keep coming back and cleaning it as part of the service....

@editor Strange idea on nomenclature isn’t it. One (or, at least, I), think of ‘Pro’ as being the male canine’s testicles and this would be the most rugged and business like version in the range. In this case ‘Plus’ appears to trump (oh, sorry, no politics intended) ‘Pro’. I know the Americans are afraid of calling anything ‘small’ and will call it ‘regular’ rather than admit to anything being diminutive. Oh well, wot’s in a name?😉
