Ecodan with FTC7 controller DHW schedule
@davidalgarve There are 2 heating modes for DHW Eco and Std, Eco as it suggests uses less input power but takes longer, so if you aren't on that already you could change it.
There is also the speed of the pump to the cylinder you could alter that and see what impact it has on input power, either way its going to take longer to heat the water if you are using less power.
Hi Gary,
I am away from home at the moment so cannot check, but is that feature only on the FTC7? I don’t recall the Eco feature on my FTC6. Pump speed 3 or 5 doesn’t make much difference.
The hot water mode is the settings on FTC6, I think you are thinking of separate pump speeds for heating and DHW which is only on FTC 7, its in the video below.
To change HW pump speed on an Ecodan with FTC6 then you need to move the manual switch on the side of the pump with 3 different positions
Thanks Gary. I had forgotten the Normal/ Eco setting and remembered it as soon as I saw the picture, and I will now try it and see what difference it makes.
On my Hydrobox, there is no facility to change pump speed manually, but I can change independently the pump speed for both house and DHW on the control panel.
Currently I have both on 3 and wonder if reducing this for DHW, would result in more cycling.
