@alfapat An odd number of available timeslots.....that's hilarious, only in Korea 🤣 🤣
The on time at 0300 is only an hour away from the cosy cheap time at 0400 can't it wait an hour?
Would two on/off (cheap rate) timed periods not work for you in the meantime until the modbus goodness arrives?
Cheap time is 4 to 7am yeah? I have it programmed for 4to 5 for DHW, manually on controller but not happening .
As I wait for pcb’s I’ll try it again .
could it be something to with FSV settings as the system is still reheating when it detects temp drop. Like this:
Suggestion being 3052?
Posted by: @alfapatThe last and remaining slot which is the after a bath reheat I have left to come on at 3.00am but cant put in and off time .

I am only trying to help based on the info you have previously written.
Regarding your suggestion for FSV 3052 , it is just a timer to ensure that the forced DHW setting (expensive) can't go on forever. It's default setting limits the forced DHW time to an hour.
Only having 5 scheduling slots available does sound a bit strange though don't you think? Is it possible that you have duplicate entries in the schedule but the clumsy user interface is making it hard to spot?
Hey I totally appreciate your help and suggestions , sorry if seems negative .
I have reset clock to am/pm , but not sure that’s the problem .
I went over daily’s again on the am/pm settings including a sixth setting now visible🤨, first showing of this will be 10.30 pm tonight , but if the DHW is 48.5 this input will not be needed . It’s after a bath is run if it’s before 12am then we will see . If not it should wait till 4am …..not convinced! 🫣
Many thanks meantime .

To add fuel to fire still not working , can someone suggest someone I can talk this through with someone , for instance , does the dhw icon disappear untill the timings kick in , or should they be there until the time is due then show pump action . Whatever there is something wrong.

What exactly doesn't work in what circumstances and in what way? My guess, and it is only a guess but it's based on how my Valiant works (albeit, it would seem, with a much more friendly UI), is that you need to
- Program an on time
- Program an off time
- Tell it to use timed mode for dhw not manual or constant reheat modes
- Possibly adjust the hysterisis so that it doesn't accidentally skip a day because it hasn't quite cooled to the on trigger temperature
Have you done all of these? If so what isn't happening that should, or what is happening that shouldn't? If we know that it should be possible to work out what needs to be changed and go on a hunt for how to change it.

So I go to Daily and 1 slot enter time and on choice and DHW then 2 to enter time and off slot , both times set after DHW symbol and so on. Then after the different time slots synchronising with Cosy and set. Exit , that’s it .
does that override the present operation of 5c below target of 48.c . Well it does as nothing happens thereon . The DHW icon disappears and nothing responds .
Definitly cools below 5c target and no redress .
manual press DHW and system heats up water .
Thanks for your help and understanding .

OK.
I'm not a Samsung expert but I can read the manual, which I must say is dreadful and reenforces my view that, whilst the heat pump is doubtless fine, the Samsung controller isn't fit for purpose - if purpose is defined as being able to be used by an ordinary householder.
Im guessing its an FSV problem. If you are prepared to can you post the values of the 10xx and 30xx FSVs and screenshots of the timer settings I am happy to take a look
Alternatively maybe a Samsung Gen 5 expert can talk you through every setting that may needs to be changed (which will still likely require you to post the values and screenshot).

Like JamesPa says, the manuals from Samsung are poop. Sometimes the correct short term solution is to have a beer. Would suggest anything Williams Bros if in Scotland, otherwise the crafty hen is a satisfying tipple.
For what it's worth, I have a gen6 but I actually had bother getting it to do the whole within 5 deg hysteresis thing, that was before I realised that it wasn't the most efficient thing anyway.
I am always reminded of the Homer Simpson technique of "mash the keypad" , maybe that's the way forward....... at least until you get the modbus jobbie, maybe then the Samsung will do as it's told😉
I feel your pain 😁
Have always liked many Williams bros. and still do !
I pretty sure Fsv’s are wrong .
I have never needed to change original Controller settings as I let default do whatever , like 5 degree thing.
Again cheap time has come about this evening and I had to press mode to activate water heating .

I guess your installer set it up to reheat continuously. Somewhere, whether its in the FSVs or the main UI, you may have to tell it to use timer program instead - it may not suffice just to enter the times. If you post the FSVs and screenshots of the timer settings we can take a look.
This slightly cryptic note in the manual suggests that there may be some limitations, the bit after the 'or' in particular. Im hoping this is just bad English grammar not a serious limitation on how it works.
Just for certainty can you confirm space heating is currently set to off?
