@transparent might have to consider weight as well, that’s a load of panels, with things like wind loading and possible snow on the roof

@derek-m sorry 10 watt bulbs, yes it’s not desirable. Aside from the fuse popping the thing would heat the house.

A thought and perhaps a daft one. If I fitted panels with micro inverters on my garage roof I could orientate them any way without loss from shading....
