@paultheheating fair enough on the oil, that's the tenant's business. For real long-term data rather than brochure figures, have a look at heatpumpmonitor.org. There are around ten Cosy 6 and Cosy 9 systems listed publicly (Colchester, Derbyshire, Leeds, Cheltenham, Birmingham and a few others), with measured heat out and electricity in, so you can see what they actually achieve in normal houses.

On the SCOP worry I'd go with Majordennisbloodnok: published figures are often quoted at different flow temperatures (35 vs 55 °C), so make sure you compare at the same one. In practice the install and the flow temp it ends up running at move the result more than the badge on the box.

@toodles

👍 …..and either will beat oil!

Paul, if you don’t care how much oil they use why worry about a bit of difference in hypothetical scop numbers?

Incidentally the link in my first post shows the whole Octopus fleet and as the 12 was only launched latterly the bulk will be 6 or 9’s.

Am I the only Cosy owner on here??

interested in scop numbers only to ensure that current tenants do not leave due to lack of warmth for their money.

and to show to epc chap that ashp gets higher score for moving from d rate to c rate.

thanks will look at heatpumpmonitor.org
