I think it’s worth highlighting that the installers we recommend are among the top 1% in the UK. Their rates may be slightly higher than some local or national installers, but the quality of their work reflects their expertise. They have a deep understanding of low-temperature heating and a level of competence that sets them apart. Just worth bearing this in mind.

Hi all been drawn to your podcasts after having a system installed under the government scheme and I’ve had a bit of experience with oil I’ve no real experience in air source and in need of desperate help as the company has literally left us in a terrible state and our system is costing a fortune so far approaching £1000 a month! They’ve installed solar which was woefully under specced and now won’t return calls or come back to repair or carry out remedial work. We are in East Yorkshire and seeking someone who can advise.
@roodo welcome to the forums and I’m really sorry to hear about your botched installation. I’ll run your case past a couple of trusted installers in Yorkshire to see if they can help.
Unfortunately, there’s a growing issue with botched installations: many of the top-notch, credible installers we work with (both directly and indirectly) on referrals are now reluctant to touch sub par installations. The reason? As soon as they step in, the original installers often wash their hands of the job, claiming that because someone else has worked on it, they’re no longer liable. It’s a ludicrous situation, and it’s leaving homeowners like you in a tough spot.
Shysters!

Has anyone had any experience with Peak energy group v therm heat pumps? And are they any good?
@johnd welcome to the forums. First time I've ever heard of this brand. Was it recommended to you by an installer?

Why not start a new post, explain exactly what you have installed and how you operate plenty of people on here would be willing to help.
Make model of heat pump
Make model of cylinder
Heating system - UFH, radiators or both
Buffer or volumiser, both or none
Room thermostats or rtv's and how many
How do you operate, timer schedule, weather compensation mix of both?
Cylinder heating timed once twice per day, set temperature on all the time, what temperature set too.
Etc more information the better
Photos of install also helpful.
@johnd it's a difficult one, because we've seen instances where lesser known brands vanish over time and all support goes out the window. I'm not implying that this brand will fold any time soon, but it's a definite consideration because we've seen many cases on these forums where people have purchased lesser known heat pump brands years ago that have ceased to trade and now can't find replacement parts.

Hi all - I'm diving into the world of ASHPs and I am trying to source reputable installers in my area. I have used the chat bot and it has recommended Good Energy but they say they are not installing in my area. Leighton Buzzard - Bedfordshire. I have currently received a quote from Emerging Living Technology Heat which looks reasonable at first glance but hasn't gone into too much detail about the install - albeit they confirmed that they have initially designed the system for a flow temperature of 50 degrees which means that I wouldn't have to replace any rads in my property (it's a 1970s) build which I have insulated as much as I can. Current EPC rating of a C, which i've been advised is as high as we will be able to get it.
Quote is attached - would welcome feedback from experienced members.
Thanks in advance
Adam
@abam48 I’ve been at Installer Show this week and back, absolutely exhausted. I’ll check my database to see who’s around you.
