Hitachi Yutaki SCombi Heat Pump - Owners
Does anyone on this forum own a Hitachi Yutaki SCombi Heat Pump? I need to find others and their experience of the system.
I would also be looking for a user specific forum for this pump, I drew a blank. Anyone know of one?
2024 build bungalow, Southern England, 179 m2, 14w/m2
Underfloor heating, fully open
Vaillant aroTHERM plus 3.5kW
50 litre volumiser
3.6KW solar panels
Tesla 13.5kw Powerwall
@nick and @muscatblue have these units. Not sure if they're still active on these forums (they were last here in 2021), but because they've been tagged they should receive a message, so let's see if they return to help you.
@trebor12345, what was your question?

@editor I just wanted to know other owners thoughts and experience of this system. I am having issues with short cycles and getting steady flow temperature.

I've got a Hitachi Yutaki 11kW split system. Nothing but trouble and expense over the last 2 1/2 years. Hitachi customer support doesn't exist in the UK. Bosch has recently acquired Hitachi/Johnson Controls for all of Europe, so let's see what happens...
@sim0n0, increasingly strong anti-Hitachi messaging. Just goes to show how important manufacturer support is. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear that. Putting the past aside would you like to describe the current problems and tell us a bit about your system and house in case we can offer support.
4kW peak of solar PV since 2011; EV and a 1930s house which has been partially renovated to improve its efficiency. 7kW Vaillant heat pump.

@jamespa Hi James I appreciate the offer, but what I need is a local heat pump engineer familiar with Hitachi that can offer servicing/support. They don't exist and Hitachi doesn't have UK support. The original installers were useless (now Heat Geak certified), MCS certificate isn't worth the paper it's written on, and Hitachi/Hitachi engineers are non-existent in the UK.
