I have just had a Tesla Powerwall installed.  Overall happy, but disappointed with the cable/pipe run around the electric box.  They said it had to go in the bottom for MSC regs, going in at the top could cause leaks, which I can understand.

Could it have been done better? Any examples of something better?

Perhaps they could have used white trunking, which would be more consistent with the white powerwall enclosure and meter box, you wouldn't see the black cables snaking around.

... and possibly artificially extended the trunking so it is symmetrical in relation to the boxes.

Fundamentally they are right that the cable entries should be at the bottom.  So the only improvement is aesthetic 'disguise'.

4kW peak of solar PV since 2011; EV and a 1930s house which has been partially renovated to improve its efficiency. 7kW Vaillant heat pump.

We said black because all the other trunking for HP and Air Con is black.

For the flexible conduit in the photo I don't think the colour makes a huge difference, the eye is drawn to the wavy/snakey conduit next to the two rectangular enclosures. But if I was having straight/angular trunking which wrapped around between the enclosures, then personally I'd go for white because I think it would blend in better.

But aesthetics are to everyone's particular taste.
