We have a ecodan system with an internal ept20x tank. There is a slow leak somewhere in the unit as water is dripping out slowly. Opening the front water has accumulated at the base. There are no obvious wet pipes or drips on visible pipes at front. What could be source of the leak?

You need to work out if the system is leaking on the ASHP circuit or cylinder side, if you need to top up the heating circuits or if its leaking and no top up, this will tell you which side the leak is on.

Assume its on the tank side:

If you mean the cased unit then there are many items that could leak, I would start with the PRV in the RHS set back a bit connected to the pipe that goes out of the right of the unit, this is just on a push rubber and could let by if you have an issue with your expansion vessel on heat up. I would also check around the heat exchanges and other fittings.

Assume its on the ASHP circuit side, I would 1st check the black flow sensor as these alway leak after transport or a short while after, it may not look like any water on the pipes as they get warm and it would evaporate on the pipe but could collect in the bottom if it leaked between heat ups as it expands and contracts, again these are just rubbers on push clips.

Best of luck investigating.
