Public Service Announcement to all Ecodan owners:  don't forget to turn off Summer Time in the Initial Settings menu - the software isn't clever enough to self adjust, unfortunately...

@downfield I have never been aware of that one. Every day is a school day. Now, where to find that setting? 🤔

It's the one before the Service Menu.

I only realised a few weeks ago that my system has been on Winter time most of the summer!

@downfield, wow that's crazy that it needs a manual change.

Having said that, we have a snazzy robovac at home, and if you change the time to BST and enable "daylight savings" it knocks our schedule out by eight hours. Something that is potentially quite simple, yet apparently isn't.

@downfield ditto. Mine is Also set to “off”. But the system time is correct ( and was correct last week)

what does this feature do when “on”?

@carpenterstation good question because, like you, my clock was also correct.

It advances the system time by one hour. The time is shown in the display.

@downfield my summer time setting has been, and is, set to off but my clock has always been correct.  TBH it isn’t something I’ve ever considered.  I just assumed that, like this iPad I’m typing on, the clock automatically adjusted itself.

@morgan did the system time change last night?  if so you may have a different version to me -  I think I am on FTC5.

But my time was incorrect this morning until I turned summertime to off.

Having said that, if you use MELcloud timing control rather than the FTC scheduler, it may not matter?

I am still unclear about the interaction between the settings on the wall display and MELcloud, when it comes to time schedules.

I use MELcloud for scheduling, but sometimes the MELcloud schedules are completely ignored while at others (thankfully most of the time) they are obeyed by the system.

@downfield I don't think it did change. My ASHP is being serviced on 11th November. Hopefully, I will remember to ask the guy to explain what 'Summer Time' is and does.
