We recommend to change display name and nickname to keep the username private and secure. You can change those in your account editing page.
Once you registered and created an account, you also have the option of adding these public information:

- Social Network Account addresses

- Timezone
- And other details to your profile information to be displayed in our community.

1.3 Private Messages and Non-Public Communications
We provide certain features that let you communicate more privately or control who sees your content. For example if forum admin is enabled, you can check the "Set Topic Private" checkbox when you create a topic or click on the "Private" button of your topic first post, or use the Private Messages to have non-public conversations. In these cases we will store and process your communications and information related to them. This includes message content, images, information about whom you have communicated with and when to better understand the use of our community, to protect the safety and review the reported messages. We share the content of your Private Messages with the people you’ve sent them to; we do not use them to serve you ads. When you use features like Private Messages to communicate, remember that recipients have their own copy of your communications on Renewable Heating Hub Forums - even if you delete your copy of those messages from your account - which they may duplicate, store, or re-share.

The name is used to display as topic/post author name. Also we store your name and email in cookies to keep filled these fields when you post a new reply or create a new topic (you don't heave to fill these information every time you post a content). We recommend don't use guest posting option on non-personal devices, or at least delete browser cookies when you leave it.

3.1 Accessing or Rectifying Your Personal Data

If you have registered an account on our community, we provide you with tools and account settings to access, correct, delete, or modify the personal data you provided to us and associated with your account. You can request for downloading your account information, including your created content (posts). You also can request correction, deletion, or modification of your personal data.
Your request and choices may be limited in certain cases: for example, if fulfilling your request would reveal information about another person, or if you ask to delete information which we or your administrator are permitted by law or have compelling legitimate interests to keep. Keep in mind that search engines and other third parties may still retain copies of your public information, like your profile information, even after we/you have deleted the information from our community.

If there is delay or dispute as to whether we have the right to continue using your information, we will restrict any further use of your information until the request is honored or the dispute is resolved, provided your administrator does not object (where applicable). If you object to information about you being shared with a third-party app, please disable the app or contact your administrator to do so.

Data portability is the ability to obtain some of your information in a format you can keep in your devices or share with other communities. Depending on the context, this applies to some of your information, but not to all of your information. Should you request it, we will provide you with an electronic file of your basic account information and the information you create on the spaces you under your sole control, like your topics (only with your posts), your replies in other topics, private messages and conversations (only with your messages), etc...

We use data hosting service providers to host the information we collect, and we use technical measures to secure your data. While we implement safeguards designed to protect your information, no security system is impenetrable and due to the inherent nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that data, during transmission through the Internet or while stored on our systems or otherwise in our care, is absolutely safe from intrusion by others.

By accessing or using this forum (“Service”), provided by Renewable Heating Hub (“RHH”), you agree to the following rules and terms. If you do not agree with these terms in full, you must not register or use the Service.
1. Liability and Responsibility
RHH is not responsible for any user-generated content or accounts. We will not be held liable for the content posted on the Service. Any use of the Service is at your own risk.
2. Eligibility
This Service is available only to users aged 16 or older.
3. Content and Privacy
All content you write, submit, upload, or otherwise make available (“Content”) may be reviewed by moderators and staff. It may also be sent to third-party verification services (such as spam prevention services). Do not post any Content you consider private or confidential, as it will be publicly available once posted. You must also avoid posting confidential information, including banking details, personal data (such as date of birth, physical address), as RHH will not be liable for any damages or losses that may arise from such disclosures.
4. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Service to post or link to content that:
•Is defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, or offensive;
•Contains adult, pornographic, or objectionable material;
•Encourages unlawful activity or violates laws;

RHH may remove or modify any content at any time, with or without notice, and reserves the right to terminate access to the Service at its discretion.

You retain copyright over your Content but grant RHH a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish it in connection with the Service.

RHH is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user, including but not limited to:
•Loss of income, business, or profits;
•Loss of data or goodwill;
•Wasted management or office time.
This includes any claims arising from tort (including negligence) or breach of contract, even if foreseeable.
8. Content Removal and Account Closure

9. Rules for Posting Content

•Avoid using URL shorteners, which prevent moderators from easily verifying links;
•Not abuse the post ratings system;
•Refrain from questioning moderator decisions in public posts.
10. Account Creation Rules
When creating an account, you must:
•Avoid using avatars or signatures containing commercial enterprise branding, contact information, or links unless you are an RHH advertiser;
•Use appropriate usernames that do not reference businesses or break any forum rules;
•Not register more than once, as this may result in deletion of your accounts and posts;
•Not re-register if banned, as this will lead to a permanent ban and a complaint to your Internet Service Provider (ISP);
•Not use animated avatars, which can be distracting.
11. Disputes with Moderators
If you disagree with a moderator’s decision, you can contact them or another moderator within that forum to request a review. If you remain dissatisfied after the review, you may escalate the issue via the “Contact Us” page.
12. Trading Rules
Trading of goods or services is not permitted on the forum. Any attempts at trading may result in a warning or ban.
13. Self-promotion & Advertising
If you own, represent, or are affiliated with a business or competing website, you may not promote or reference your organisation unless you are an RHH advertiser. This includes covert promotion by posing as a “satisfied customer,” which will result in exposure and damage to your reputation.
14. Right of Reply
Businesses are allowed to respond to criticism on the forum but must do so without self-promotion.
15. Reliance on Information
All content on the forum is for informational purposes only and should not be considered advice. RHH disclaims all liability for reliance on any posted information. Always consult a certified professional before acting on any advice or information shared on the forum.
16. Amendments to Terms
These terms may be updated or amended at any time, without prior notice. We find that the vast majority of users comply with these rules. However, moderators will take necessary action to ensure the forum remains a pleasant and respectful environment for all.
17. Username Policy
To maintain clarity and prevent confusion within our community, users are prohibited from selecting usernames that could be mistaken for commercial brands, trademarks, or organizations unless they are officially affiliated with or authorized to represent the entity in question. Examples of prohibited usernames include, but are not limited to: Vaillant, Ecodan, Homely, and Hive. Users may incorporate brand names into their usernames only if they combine the name with their own (e.g., Ecodan-John or Vaillant-Pete). In such cases, the user must include a clear and visible disclaimer in their forum signature (the text appended to the bottom of their posts). The disclaimer must state: “I am not affiliated with [Brand Name].”
Usernames that violate this policy will be rejected during registration or modified by administrators if discovered after registration. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.
