I wonder if someone could recommend some high quality flexi hoses for use with my Samsung ASHP outside unit.

I need 28mm with 1" BSP fittings, ideally 500mm length with a 90deg elbow at the 1" BSP fitting end.

I was looking at these Intatec hoses:

https://pirateheatingsupplies.com/product/intatec-500mm-pre-insulated-angled-hose-one-inch-female-swivel-x-28mm-twin-pack-hphose500b/

My outside primary pipework has sprung a leak on one of it's elbow joints (the pipework was poorly supported and movement seems to have caused the joint to fail, although I need to inspect it further). Anyway, as I'm going to have to drain down the system to fix the leak, I may as well take the opportunity to move the ASHP to a better location (now legislation no longer requires it to be 1m from the boundary) and reduce the length of the outside primaries in the process, hence the need for new flexi hoses.

Hoping @pirate-rich or others may be able to advise if the above are a good choice or if there are better products available. I may also take the opportunity to check and upgrade if necessary my external insulation on the primaries (28mm copper).

One further question - is it always best practice to attach the flexi hoses directly to the ASHP unit, or can I fit isolator ball valves directly to the ASHP unit and the flexi hoses on to the isolator valves?

I was looking at using these Intatec isolation valves fitted directly onto the rear of the heat pump with the above flexi hoses onto these:

https://pirateheatingsupplies.com/product/intatec-one-inch-female-swivel-nut-x-one-inch-male-flat-face-k-type-ball-valve-hpbv11/

Are these high quality full bore types that will not restrict flow?

Lots of installers buy these hoses, and I don't think we've ever had any negative feedback. Just bear in mind they don't come with bond and seal (which is the sealant Primary Pro makes for the insulation Intatec uses), so you will need some of that too. We also do Primary Pro insulation on our website and recommend this for outdoor pipework.

Thanks @pirate-rich, I appreciate that 👍

Will one tube of sealant be sufficient (will also order a pair of those isolation valves and the Primary Pro valve covers)? I may also need 1-2m lengths of Primary Pro for connecting onto the existing primaries.

@old_scientist Dave Smith recommends 1/3 of a tube per joint. Videos on making joints are here...
