Yup, @morgan, those are the guys. The person in the video is Jason who performed the initial site visit, although the company is more than just a one-man band.

@swalker specifically avoid any companies with an office in Thirsk. Try reaching out to Mark Houldsworth at SolarPlus Yorkshire for an initial quote, as he seems to know exactly what he's talking about

Hi. I'm new to the forum and am very happy to find it here. I've recently had an air source heat pump installed (under the Green Homes Grant). Bit of a baptism of fire, with my bills currently quadruple last year's, and unfortunately it looks as though I will need to take action against the installer for a job badly done. I've already found a lot of useful information here on running the pump (thank you!), but also realise what a work in progress this very different method of heating is.
@zoomuno
welcome to the forum. Yes it is a different way of heating than most are used to but it can work well when done properly. Sorry to hear you had problems with your supplier; sadly it seems to happen a lot. Please feel free to start a new thread if you want any specific help.
@kev-m im pretty sure gas is more expensive as i dont use gas cant say for sure but ours eletric for heatpump is only 11.41p per kw and 16.31 for general power
@zoomuno, welcome to the forums - if you'd like advice specifically geared towards your system, please start a new thread in the ASHP section and detail what system you've got, how much energy you're consuming, etc. and we can take it from there.

@zoomuno I would be interested to hear who your installer is if you are happy giving that info? My install under the GHG has taken over 1 Year so far and its not finished, it is a very large company which I deeply regret going with as I had assumed they knew what they were doing having said they had done many hundreds of installs in the year previous. I did "sign-off" the install so the GHG could be paid but i have not handed over a penny other than initial 10% deposit and will not pay unless I am completely satisfied.
Apologies if this isn't the best heading to put this query under - happy to place it elsewhere if needed. I had a heat pump (Midea 19kW) installed last autumn by a company in Bristol. Lots of problems with the installer, unfortunately. I’m now trying to find a heat pump expert in the Bristol area to undertake an independent survey of the install, so that I can itemise to the installer everything that needs to be corrected and/or initiate a complaints process. Wondering whether anyone here can recommend a consultant or company who could undertake this? Thanks.
@saf1973 Huge sympathies for the trouble you're having. I'm about to begin a formal complaints/small claims process, so feel I should be cautious about naming the company here at this point. It's not a large company, so possibly different from the one you've used. Do you feel okay about naming your company and I can confirm whether it's the same or not? (Sorry not to be more directly helpful!)
@zoomuno it looks like I may be in a better situation than you as I've not paid for it and wont if its not implemented correctly so I still have the cards in my hand and no need to go to court. I wont name the company until everything is sorted just in case, who knows they may throw a good will gesture in (or maybe I'm dreaming on that one!). It is a big nationwide company so it wont be the same one, I have searched the forums and its not named anywhere. Keep us posted on progress on a dedicated thread.
Hi @zoomuno I think the issue you may have is every decent ASHP engineer will be mad busy installing prior to the RHI cut off date end March.
You could search my installer, Martin at Ecobubl based in Warminster
