I wonder if @bobbt9866 or anyone else knows if its possible to upgrade controller software? My system was installed in 2020 with software v3.05.5a.

1. Is it possible to upgrade the software?
2. If not... can the entire controller be replaced to upgrade or are there other controls in the Therma V electronics that make that impractical? Perhaps impractical on cost grounds anyway?

I have setup AI myself with help of this forum and Facebook User Group. Seems to be generally working well now even though installer placed our controller in a warm bathroom which means we can only use Water (LWT) & outside temperature to control the AI.

1. Would it be worth moving the controller to living space to aid control? It would not be a huge job but not inclined to bother if the benefit is likely to be minimal.
2. With v3.05.5a there seems to be minimal (no?) information about efficiency, SCOP etc. Any suggestions for monitoring or extracting data? I don't know if Home Assistant, LG ThinQ or other kit is practical or worthwhile? and easy to setup for non-technical people?!

any comments or thoughts will be appreciated!

Hi Tim. Here's the feedback I got from Bob relating to your question:

The software can be updated through the remote control as it has a card that be removed and/or updated. This allows the service engineer to reset the system design settings on return to site. The details should be in the remote manual that comes with the unit.

@editor my thanks to you and Bob for following up. The manuals make no mention of software or firmware upgrades. Also cannot find any reference to ability to update card.

i will continue to investigate and will report back if anything found.
