We are lucky enough to have space in both our bathrooms to accommodate a conventional K2 radiator to heat the room and a towel radiator for drying towels. In summer we resort to drying towels the old fashioned way by hanging them outside. The additional heat output provided by the towel radiator allows a slightly smaller K2 than otherwise would have been required to meet the MCS recommendation.

Samsung 12kW gen6 ASHP with 50L volumiser and all new large radiators. 7.2kWp solar (south facing), Tesla PW3 (13.5kW)
Solar generation completely offsets ASHP usage annually. We no longer burn ~1600L of kerosene annually.

In one en-suite bathroom we have a 180cm high towel rail which isn’t enough wattage really, but the bedroom donates plenty of heat.

In another we simply added an extra small radiator and in a 3rd a towel rail (dual fuel) to add to ufh. But we’ve never need to add in an electrical time slot to supplement heat, even in summer when the heating is off.

I had indigestion with the price of the taller high area ones since we needed two going that route.

Yes I agree.  They are extremely expensive.  I suspect they sell very few of them, so they don’t have the economies of scale of standard radiators.  The 14 week lead time on coloured ones is painful too.
