Handover Packs
Hi all,
I am interested to hear about your experiences with what you have received as Handover packs and system demonstrations.
I know that many people are being "trapped" by their installers not handing over documents until the full balance has been paid but under MCS they are not allowed to withhold handover documentation on any basis (other than the install not being finished) regardless of what they put in their contract.
Have you had a really good handover pack or receieved nothing at all?
It's almost 7 years ago now and I got nothing other than the manufacturers operating instructions, which are aimed more at the installer than the end user.
With all that I have learnt during the intervening period I'm now in a position to write my own handover pack for the next owner should we decide to move house.

@mike-patrick yes i get you, I too seem to know far more than any of the installers that have attended site. I would urge everyone to contact the MCS if they havent got a full handover pack. The NICEIC (via MCS) has requested the full HO pack from my installer to make sure it is correct.....
