Ecodan consuming 100kwh per day in new build!!!
This particular example is one of the worst I have seen here. Uninsulated buried primaries!, uninsulated pipework around the cylinder, system separation, oversized heat pump, undersized radiators and doubtless some things we don't know about because they are masked.Â
The plumber who 'installed' this should be struck off! It's almost like they designed it not to work, but I doubt they were that competent. The lack of insulation would be equally bad if this were a boiler installation (worse in the case if the dhw tank, because it would be heated to a higher temperature), how were they ever let near this job. It makes one wonder about the rest of the plumbing.
4kW peak of solar PV since 2011; EV and a 1930s house which has been partially renovated to improve its efficiency. 7kW Vaillant heat pump.
