Ariston or Acond Heat Pumps?

Does anyone have any experience with the performance either of these two makes of heat pump? A friend has been quoted for them from Thermal Earth. I know the Acond is Czech and uses the R290 refridgerant instead of the usual R32, but thats about it. My feeling is to steer him towards a more mainstream make but Im willing to be persuaded.
