Looking for Books on Solar Panels for Rent – Recommendations?
Hey everyone,
I’m in the process of exploring solar panels for rent and want to dive deeper into the topic before making a decision. Does anyone know of any good books that cover the ins and outs of renting solar panels? I’m interested in both the technical aspects and the financial implications. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
plenty of books on solar thermal and PV sorry not stumbled across a book about renting panels. Are you talking PV or thermal?
Why would you rent them? Is there a specific motivation about going that route?
You can put together a system quite cheaply these days. A 410W panel can be picked up for £47 (+vat). A G98 inverter around £350.
So 8x 410W panels about £380 plus inverter, cables, isolation switch, fuse is less than £1k. Just need mounts and installation.
I just did a search on books and can't find anything quite that niche. There may be a chapter in a book on solar panels about rental, but haven't seen anything along those lines. Sorry.

@editor An alternative (if you are looking for a low initial outlay) would be to consider buying into a solar farm; such schemes are available, I have shares in Ripple Energy and should start recouping towards my energy bills at the end of this year. You can invest as little as £25 … or thousands if wished. (www.rippleenergy.com) Regards, Toodles.

Are you referring to a scheme where a company installs a solar PV system to your home and you then pay a monthly fee? If so, please provide details.
Have you considered taking out a bank loan, and paying for a system to be installed. Once the loan is paid off the system belongs to you.
