Hi, we just moved into a newly renovated property with an ASHP. The previous owner/developer didn't register for RHI. Does anyone know if he needs to do it (as the installation is in his name) and transfer it to us or whether we can do it as the new owners?

I can't find an answer to this on the Ofgem site.

Thanks in advance.

The installer registers it on the RHI site to get the MCS certificate and registration number.  They should give that to you. You use that to register it on the RHI website with your name and bank details, etc. That's what happened with me anyway.

@kev-m Thanks - I have the certificate with all the handover paperwork, I'll make sure I look at it properly now we've settled in and get teh application done.
