Has anyone got any experience of using Sunamp thermal batteries? I was plodding along thinking more solar panels for my PV array along with a Powervault battery but now I wondering if one of these giant hand warmers might be a good option. Incredible figures on the longevity compared to lithium batteries...and of course not designed to be equivalent.

I don't know an awful lot about Sunamp to be honest and only came across their products about a month ago. I'm currently speaking to their founder/owner asking them if they'd be interested in contributing to this site and educating people about how best to use battery storage.

What prompted you to consider Sunamp?

Hi Mars, we haven't got Sunamp batteries yet but thinking about it...I suspect we should've thought about this before we got our new dual coil water cylinder with our ASHP. Would've saved quite a bit of space! But now realising that we could've got a bigger solar PV array (I didn't know that you can go above 4kW until this week) with DNO permission and a bigger inverter. That's when battery storage becomes important. And heat batteries seem to have longevity over lithium ones.
