Tesla PW3 (13.5kW) and Gateway for full home backup.

Samsung 12kW gen6 ASHP with 50L volumiser and all new large radiators. 7.2kWp solar (south facing), Tesla PW3 (13.5kW)
Solar generation completely offsets ASHP usage annually. We no longer burn ~1600L of kerosene annually.

Battery 1 x 5kWh Growatt, would consider a second when prices soften

I don't have a Hybrid Inverter ( which has the H, SPH)

Growatt PV Grid Inverter MIN 5000TL-X

SPA 3000TL

Growatt AC Coupled Inverter SPA 3000TL BL

supplied and fitted by my home solar who I’d recommend getting a quote from.

@batpred I'm looking at Fogstar batteries with Solis as an alternative to Dyness, how do you find them?

I have Solax X1-AC with 5.8kWh.   Last month we installed Solis 3P Hybrid with a fabulous Dyness HV stack.   next project will probably be single phase Solis with either another Dyness stackable or the Fogstar.

Most of my findings on batteries are in the thread that this link points to. Regarding the inverter, the Solis hybrid exceeded my expectations.

I have 120kWh of LiFePO4 batteries (DIY), which I will likely expand this year to 200kWh. The original configuration 7 years ago was 28kWh with cells directly imported from a dubious source in China (as we all did back then in the DIY community). Over time I just kept adding as prices got better, and things really got easy when cells became readily available from European vendors such as NKON (and Fogstar in the UK).

My blog where I write about all the systems in place and decisions made for my off-grid house at 63 degrees north in Finland.

@technogeek Well done, I like the inverter power rating and I am envious of the battery capacity!😉 Toodles.

@toodles cheers! Had to size the batteries /inverter based on keeping the ASHP going all day plus general power consumption and being able to charge it all within 5 - 6 hours overnight. This means the EV remains feasible and ASHP is now cheapest form of heating.

Hopefully we can be financially grid independent over the summer with a little export but that will be a bonus

Regards

@technogeek Sounds like we have similar aims; with 27 kWh of Powerwall2 (the Gateway handles 10 kW in either direction comfortably), and an ASHP, I subscribe to Octopus Cosy and can cruise through the full day using just the lowest 8 hours charge times to keep some energy in the bank. Our 8.1 kWp. of solar panels are not ideally orientated and do suffer from some shading but during the summer, I hope to export via Intelligent Octopus Flux for a few months. Regards, Toodles.
