@judith That makes sense to me! If I was in @alex_n 's shoes, I would look at solar PV + battery instead of solar thermal.

Good unit. And the 10 kW is the same as the 12 kW I believe. So if your installer has done a good heat loss, in theory you have some "headroom".

If you decide to move ahead with the heat pump, you can still keep the wood burner as backup if that gives you more peace of mind.
