I would like to ask if anyone has any experience using a Nibe F1245-8R or maybe a similar model? We bought a house in Feb 2025 which has one of these installed together with the myUplink app. The previous owner said it had never been serviced (approx 7 years old) so that was the first thing we did and there wasn't much needed doing, what I did want to know was how efficient it is and the service person said you cannot see anything about COP or SCOP in the menu for this model so just go my manufactures spec. So as a newbie to heat pumps from what I can gather the COP and be worked out if you know the energy it was used and the heat it was given out? This would involve some sort of energy monitoring on the cables going in but how do I find out the heat production? The myUplink does have an Energy Log which at present tells me 1726kWh for 1 year's consumption and 7582kWh for 1 year's production, I cannot believe these figures, at present my house is using on average 40kWh a day most of which must be the heat pump, so if anyone could give me a better understanding it would be most appreciated.

First of all you have one of the best geothermal heat pumps out there. Really reliable.

best thing you can do is put a dim rail kwhr meter on the power supply heat pump. Take your house meter reading on the same day and forever more you’ll know what your heat pumps uses in kwrs and what your home uses.

40krs a day is your entire home I presume and that’s just 1 day in winter. It’s much better to look at data over the year, otherwise you’ll loose your mind.

A simple guide for that nibe is take the total running hours for compressor and multiply by 2kW to get your total kwrs over the 7 years.

im assuming you done have crazy add heat hours.

you should have your run capacitor swapped out by now

@greenlight Many thanks for the information, it's set my mind at ease knowing it's a decent heat pump, have to agree getting data for a complete 12 months will tell me a lot about how it is functioning and the costs.
