Looking for a GSHP installer
@robl The kensay units are very simple and I do not believe have an option for cooling, a third party controller will be necessary, which is usually not veyr successfull.
You can, and we use a fan assisted radiator specifically designed for heating and cooling. If you control the water temperature correctly, there is no risk of condensation, under floor heating works very well with cooling.
Boreholes, which we drill with our own equipment can go down to 300 meters, but usually 100-150m. It does work the best but slinkeys work well as they are not used as a collector but a thermal stoor. Slinkeys do not work well with heating only, straight pipe works much better.
Calculating the loading is quite complicated and leave that to the installer, itwill be insured and guarantied.
Posted by: @jdeeHi, I'm basically looking for a GSHP installer and seek to learn about others' experiences of GSHP technology. I live near York. My ideal would be to install a system that can heat the house in the winter and cool it in the summer. I have fairly good techincal undersandings and I understand how such a system needs to be put together. I used to be very practical, but now have a health problem that curtails what I can do. All the best, Jon
Have you considered an Air to Air (A2A) ASHP which can both heat and cool, but cannot provide hot water?
