The system has been set back to 15C over the summer and dutifully shown no sign of life. The last two overnight temperatures were 5C and this morning it awoke and ran for three hours and brought the house to 17C by 0900 before returning to off. It looks like the Mitsubishi weather compensation is thinking for its self! The overnight house temperature must have flirted with 15C, which is a surprise.

Well, it seems like your Mitsubishi weather compensation has aced its meteorology side gig and has aspirations of becoming a weather forecaster 🤣. The next Ecodan iteration should include a feature where it makes small talk about the chance of precipitation during family dinners.

Glad to hear it's working well.
