@editor yes they’re MCS.

That's good to know. We're interviewing the CEO of MCS a week on Monday via Zoom, and I would be happy to raise this with him in the interview. We won't name you or the company (it'll be a "comment we've seen recently") and see what his advice is. If you're OK with this, you can share some more information with me (via private message) on this case, so that we can provide him with as much background information as possible. Please let me know.

@editor more than happy with that.  Basically having accepted the quote an initial deposit is required.  Once paid a full tech’ survey is carried out.  Deposit of c£3.5k paid. Tech survey carried out on 10th August.  I’m now not receiving any response to emails from the boss of the company who carried out the survey or the company itself.  On Monday I intend to contact Rob Vine the head of sales who carried out the initial survey and quoted the price.  If still no response things will have to become more formal.  I need my ASHP CH system in before winter.  This is indeed very frustrating.

Retrofitted 11.2kw Mitsubishi Ecodan to new radiators commissioned November 2021.
14 x 500w Monocrystalline solar panels.

2 ESS Smile G3 10.1 batteries.
ESS Smile G3 5kw inverter.

@Morgan, that is very frustrating. I will raise this and see what suggestions they have. I'll share them with you before the video goes live in case you don't have an answer or feedback by then.

@editor Hi Mars,

It may be useful to ask the MCS CEO about Sam's case, she still has not received any form of help and the builder and Omnie keep claiming no responsibility.

@morgan, I called in at JL Phillips today.  IMO all is well with them and there will be no need to do anything more formal.  I'll PM you.

@kev-m you’re a star.  I dropped an email to all and sundry at the company today.  Lo and behold just received a call with an install date in October.

Good idea Derek. I'll ask them to comment about what one can do when non-MCS accredited installers don't deliver a job properly.

@Morgan, that's great news. I won't be raising this with the MCS then 😀

@editor  you might like to suggest to him that recommendations are made to MCS registered companies that within their remit they communicate and update customers.

To have the survey done on 10th August and have it suggested on that day that an install would be possible toward the end of August/early September and then to hear nothing, and indeed have several emails ignored is frustrating at best.  To have this having deposited a considerable sum of money tends to become worrying.

@jennyross Did you go through with your installation, and if so, could you comment on how you got on with your installer?
