Who's your electricity provider and what's your tariff?
@old_scientist So we can price that rabbit at 2-3 kWh daily!😉 Toodles.
Toodles, heats his home with cold draughts and cooks food with magnets.
It can’t be the powerwalls, mine are running and my total 24 hr house load is about 7 kWh. This is for a fully electric 300m2 property with 5 inhabitants, I’ve 5 DMEVs constantly running, large fridge freezer, router and 4 mesh Wi-Fi and we aren’t particularly careful, about 2kWh of that 7 is the DHW cycle.
it looks to be the fine dinning luncheons chez toodles and probably a fridge or freezer issue. It’s impressive to see older folks whom still make the effort to cook 2 square meals, the majority don’t. My own father hasn’t made a cup of tea for the last 30 years, I’m not sure he could now!
@papahuhu Strange that you mention it but, I happen to notice that the ‘soft scoop’ ice cream kept in the freezer turns to ‘hard scoop’ when transferred to the American style fridge freezer in the kitchen. Now, when we bought that freezer some 15 years or so ago, I did adjust the freezer temperature to be -18 degrees C.; having checked it today, it has gone off the scale at -19.9 deg. so is presumably at least minus 20 at present. Adjustments are in progress now!
Regarding the cooking; I started at the age of 3 at my mother’s apron strings and have now clocked up some 75 years of enjoyable cooking! When I retired in 2012, I informed SWMBO that I was taking over all the food preparation and cooking and would allow her to share the eating with me. SWMBO does not enjoy cooking and I can honestly state that she has not had to prepare a single meal in that time.😊 Regards, Toodles.

@papahuhu, all this got me a bit curious so I took a closer look at the consumption of a lot more of my devices. I have now made an interesting discovery. Whilst my wife and I have, between us (at least in part for working from home) 6 screens, 2 laptops and 2 PCs consuming about 5 kWh per day in total, my network switch on its own is responsible for about 2 kWh (1.4 plus PoE load). Moreover, the kettle accounts for more than the washing machine and dishwasher combined, and even the American-style fridge/freezer that's about 12 years old comes in under the tea-making energy.
I'd be careful about the use of the term "older folks", though; it seems it's on record with HM Passport Office that he won't be born until 2047. That makes him distinctly younger than me...

Very similar to me, @toodles.
Early on in our relationship, my wife and I found just how compatible we were. She didn't like cooking and I didn't like washing up; a perfect match.
Until we had kids. At that point, she bought a dishwasher and pushed me to redesign the kitchen to fit it in. These days, the balance is different. She grows the veg, I cook it; still a perfect match.
