March 2026 results for solar production are in; not as good as last year (which was the best year as yet) but better than the others before it.

Same over here. 2026 yield was lower, this however means increased rainfall for which I am grateful.

@toodles I forgot to let you know. 100green have a time of use tariff, tide smart that give 7p/kWh 00.00- 07.00 and 12p export, no exit fee. It’s not an EV tariff. Pretty amazing. If octopus don’t restart IOF or Tesla doesn’t issue it’s VPP soon, I’m switching.

The day before yesterday we had in our area 128mm of rainfall within 24h - it was not extremely intense, it was almost constant, heavy rain.

Our Sungrow inverter stopped functioning, the error code being about inability to self check current leakage. On line research indicated that a possible cause was humidity in the panels wiring and that the remedy would be to let the system dry and reboot.
The sun eventually came out, in the evening we did a reboot and today the system seems to be functioning OK (it’s overcast again so yield is anaemic but it is not zero).

Since this is the first time we have encountered such a situation during the 18 months of PV operation I thought asking if this is indeed something you are experiencing in climates more wet than here.

We live in an area where it is so wet and humid they spun silk here, it doesn’t cause any trouble.
My tip for anything with a computer in it, if it’s not working, power everything down and restart it. At least twice this week this has been a successful remedy to electrical gremlins.

  1. @papahuhu Sounds very interesting indeed - as long as they aren’t one of these jumped up but with poor management companies. Let’s keep a look out and see what/if Tesla or 8 tentacles may come up with soon. (BTW, sorry for the delay in replying; I was blue lighted into hospital on Thursday with a double inguinal hernia,) (not nice!) but am home again now. Regards, Toodles.

@agentgeorge Very gratifying to see 27 kWh of Powerwall, a fully charged Sunamp Thermino heat battery and some more being exported by 15:00!😊 Recharges, Toodles.

@mk4 Thank you very much, well on the road now. I rather feel that three hernias are sufficient and so wish to stop now…😉 Regards, Toodles.

@toodles

Bloody hell, a double, you must have been doing something that you probably shouldn’t have been doing at your time of life! I hope it wasn’t too painful.
They always used to do elective surgery but they seem to have changed their mind in the last decade or so. It’s not even clear whether a truss really helps or not, your best bet is to be ultra careful what you get up to, but even a strong sneeze or a cough can be all it takes sometimes.
Hope it all settles down.
