Could someone tell me if this wiring is ok, my EV App and solar Apps give different readings octopus have been out numerous times, replacing the EV charger because wired wrong then wired wrong again and then again and still trying to get it sorted.  Mine is a hybrid solar with batteries and they simply seem out of their depth.

Just wondering if Octopus fit your EV charger or also the PV? One CT clamp seems to be unused but perhaps it is not needed?

If the goal is just to add the EV charger to it, usually that needs a 40amp RCD/RCBO on a consumer unit.

Did they install a new CU for it?

I am not an electrician but from what I know, if one CU is getting power from another, it would not be fed by tails cabling and an MCB should be used.

You seem to have a three phase supply, but I am guessing this is not a before and after set of photos?

Do you mean the EV charger works but the apps do not show consistent information?

@batpred this is how it is at the minute, a bit cramped. One ct clamp was removed because they said it didn’t need it.

the apps for both solar and ev charging are poles apart.  Crazy data, the ev charger treats my batteries as surplus so keeps using them instead of waiting until the scheduled charge cheap rate during the night.  It’s ok at the minute since batteries are used up by the heat pump but during the summer it’s a pain since I feed it all back at 9.30pm then recharge during the night.  Zappi say that they need to check the wiring is correct, that the ct clamps give the correct readings, are located both the correct way and not too close to other cables.  I have no idea what’s right or wrong but it looks fairly untidy and cramped in there.

 Zappi

Do you have the Zappi and trying to use the solar excess to charge your car?  I've had Zappi's since 2018 so am reasonably familiar with them but have only recently had a battery installed.  Is your battery connected via a hybrid inverter that your solar panels are connected to as well?  My understanding is that it is hard to get the Zappi working well like this but I've not had to work with that yet as it hasn't been sunny enough to even think of charging the car from the solar yet this year.

Yup it charges the car during summer and it’s a hybrid inverter.  It’s totally confused though.
