Vaillant Aerotherm Plus - What is Green IQ setting?
Hi new heat pump owner here, 10kw aerotherm plus, just trying to get my head around all this.
I see this Green IQ logo and I notice in the setting it is active, does anyone know what it does?

I’ll run this past Vaillant and see what they say.

Still waiting for a reply from Vaillant but I just googled it and the Green iQ logo appears to represent a mark of sustainability and efficiency. When this feature is active, it means the system is operating at the highest levels of energy efficiency and environmental protection.
In your case, I would assume that having this setting active ensures your heat pump is running efficiently, adapting to your heating needs while also contributing to lower fuel consumption and running costs.

@editor Yes, we’ve read the guff in the manual, but that still doesn’t explain anything about what the setting actually does, if anything at all.
According to a cursory web search, Green IQ is a legacy setting which only applies to gas boilers, and has zero effect on Arotherm heat pump systems. The SensoCOMFORT controller can be used with both, so the setting is incorrectly present.
But I would love to hear an official explanation from Vaillant for sure!
Same hence why I asked this, nothing says what it actually does and sometimes having some of these settings on is not the most ideal, but without knowing what and if it actually does anything it hard to decide.

I too would like to read Vaillant’s explanation since it seems to just be a marketing gimmick on gas boilers and the sensocomfort is to be used on all types of heating system.

@jeegnesh I’d leave it in.
No reply yet from Vaillant, which means it’s something they don’t want to comment on. I’ll raise this in the next podcast, and see if any of the installers know.

Turned the setting off on mine as couldn't find anything anywhere that explained what it did with respect to ASHP (only mentioned to do with gas boilers) not noticed any difference.
If Vaillant produced a list of all of their various variables that would be valuable!

@jeegnesh can you please take a photo of the setting of the panel and post it here?
