Two HP systems without buffer tank?

Just wondered if it's possible to combine dual (master/slave) heat pump systems without using a buffer tank. I'm presuming it is but is there anyone on here who has such an arrangement - ie two heat pumps directly feeding their heating circuit? 


2 x 12kW Samsung Gen6 ASHP, 5.6kW solar PV ground mounted c/w 10kWh Puredrive battery & Solis inverter.
