Turning your heat pump off
@robl thanks for that. Now I have to research reading Modbus in home assistant - HA does all my logging and reporting in the one place.
Our experiences with solar pv, ASHP, battery, and EV: ourhomeelectric.co.uk
@steevjo Like you I don't need to know the full details of output etc. I know it works as the house is warm. I do however need to get a grip on it's consumption because our bills are inordinately high and becoming unsustainable. To this end I intend to enlist the services of @heacool to cast his expertise over my install. He isn't going to be cheap but neither are my electricity bills. The ASHP seems to be consuming way more than a lot on here.
I would need an electrician to install that device as I won't go near electricity but it looks like a good option. Octopus Energy are hopefully attending here on Tuesday to see if we can have a smart meter.
Retrofitted 11.2kw Mitsubishi Ecodan to new radiators commissioned November 2021.
14 x 500w Monocrystalline solar panels.
2 ESS Smile G3 10.1 batteries.
