Glad you got it sorted 😀

Samsung 12kW gen6 ASHP with 50L volumiser and all new large radiators. 7.2kWp solar (south facing), Tesla PW3 (13.5kW)
Solar generation completely offsets ASHP usage annually. We no longer burn ~1600L of kerosene annually.

I must have set holiday modes when I was trying different ways of turning it off for the summer

I would recommend looking into setting up yearly schedules to solve this problem.

For example I do not have weekly schedules set up but instead have a "Summer" schedule set which is active May to September. Under the summer schedule the space heating is set to switch "off" at 3am Monday to Sunday so the heat pump does not run over the summer.

I have an Autumn schedule which is active October and November under which the heat pump heats the house to 20 degrees in the day and heats the house to 18 degrees at night.

Then November to March the "Winter" schedule becomes active and heats the house to 21 degrees in the day and 19 degrees at night. The Spring schedule is active in April and is the same as the Autumn schedule regarding temperature profile.

This method allows you to set up and forget 😀
