Midea R32 setup and bizarre running with lengthy off periods?
Hi I am new to the world of ASHP and have just had a recent installation together with solar and battery storage. the behaviour of the system is a bit odd
I have a Midea R32 12Kw ASHP installed with a Midea controller and app. The ASHP heats the house but with high flow temp and then shuts down for long periods. Over time all radiators get completely cold, house is cooling quite a bit before ASHP starts up again with high temp output to get back to desired 19C ambient temp in house. I feel this incorrect operation but am not sure how to present this to the installer as it all new to me.
My understanding of how an ASHP should operate is something like this
-
Radiators should feel lukewarm most of the time
-
Flow temperature should modulate, not jump to a high value
-
The heat pump should run long and steady
-
Radiators should not go completely cold for long periods
but it is nothing like the operation I have. Costs are in excess of £24 pound a day without actually providing effective heating
How can I demonstrate this issue to my installer who simply looks at the controller screen and thinks setting are correct.
Thank you for any help and guidance
