We have a Vaillant aerotherm with sensocomfort. We have the Heating turned off. We told the guy setting it up we didn’t want the rads on we have a woodburner and it heats the whole house. We just use pump for hot water. So he set it  Heating Turned off he put desired temp at 5deg c even though turned off. He said it’s on Eco and frost protect will automatically kick in and we shouldn’t turn it off. We were fine with that. Question is how does frost protect work. Should the radiators be getting warm, cos they are, and not just in the frost. This afternoon outdoor temp said 6deg c and the pump sounded like a jet engine and rads had plenty of heat in them. The panel on water cylinder in cupboard had the radiator grill pic aswell. When the pump died down the rad grill pic turned off. Told installer he said keep an eye on the little silver box thing on HW cylinder and see if the arm thing moves across BUT it hasn’t budged. Any ideas??
