I’m trying to rule out a fault, could owners of above combination answer the following for me?

Regardless of weather curves etc, can anyone confirm that if the Smart Controller is set (for example) to 20 degrees room temperature, and that temperature is exceeded, the heat pump will turn off.  When I say exceeded, I mean by any means including solar gain and taking into account hysteresis.
