Ecodan & MelCloud scheduling
Posted by: @davidalgarve@editor I have been using it for a heat pump since 2022 and don't recall any significant changes. I also use it for an air conditioning unit and that is much superior in the logic and the options available.
When I interviewed Mitsubishi Electric at Installer earlier this year they said the final amendments were being made to a full consumer overhaul of Melcloud and the installer version was already done.

With the prospect of warmer weather this week, I brought forward the start of the Summer season on our MELcloud app to 22 May (Friday). We have the HP set to "Cooling" during the summer, with a target max IAT of 24C.
Since Friday, this change has been ignored, and MELcloud has continued to follow the previous "Spring" schedule, which has heating set to an IAT of 20C during the day (lower overnight).
I have manually overcome this by selecting "Cooling" on the FTC6 wall controller, set to flow temperature of 16C. This works OK until the scheduled time of next change in the Spring schedule - this was at 1000 and 2200 - when it flips back into heating mode again.
I've checked and rechecked the settings on the MELcloud app and all seem to be correct. It's like summer never existed!
What am I doing wrong?
