The through wall two hole ones have their place (listed, conservation zones mostly) but they are definitely not DIY unless you habitually drill very large holes in cavity brick walls. Using those kind of drills wrongly will land you in A and E with a broken wrist really easily.

Where they do work superbly DIY though is garden offices, because sticking a 20cm hole in a SIP panel is eminently DIYable.
