A common question I’m beginning to see more of us people asking whether their quotations sound reasonable. This will be a dedicated thread for users to post what they’ve been quoted for.

Hi folks, Smiffyz here, we're new to renewables although we do have PV Panels generating approx £2.5k a year. We're looking at ASHP and currently know very little about them except we were quoted 17.5k for installation (inc rads) which seems an awful lot. SW Scotland.

Thanks

@smiffyz

that's not completely out the ballpark.  About £16.5k for everything (we had no central heating) inc 14 rads.  East Midlands.

What size of house/ASHP?  Maybe get another quopte or two if you can.

@smiffyz, welcome to the forums. What size and make of heat pump have you been quoted for?

A tad over £14,000 all in for a Mitsubishi 11.2KW ASHP, 12 radiators.  Retrofit on an old house that had no previous CH of any kind.   East Midlands.  Installed in Oct/Nov 2021.

Retrofitted 11.2kw Mitsubishi Ecodan to new radiators commissioned November 2021.
14 x 500w Monocrystalline solar panels.

2 ESS Smile G3 10.1 batteries.
ESS Smile G3 5kw inverter.

I would get multiple quotes I had three quotes which varied from £7500 to £15000 this did not include fitting radiators.

£16.5k for a major ASHP installation - probably 2-3 weeks work in total as it was a problematical install, including about 1k of extra bits and bobs.
