GivEnergy inverter tripping due to over-voltage?

My inverter keeps 'tripping/resetting' - green light intermittently flashing. PV solar drops to nothing and then starts again .... climbing to 4.5kWh+ production for a few minutes with steady green light before again resetting with green flashing light.- Installed 2020- 5kw Hybrid GivEnergy inverter Gen1- 3 x 8.2kw batteries Gen1 Example 30th Apr:- Was working fine until about 1pm. - Probably reset every 3 or 4 mins so solar production highly impacted.- Batteries were full- I disconnected EV to prevent any IOG control.This started around 12.30pm that day and was particularly bad for 2 hours. After that the reset was less frequent but still happened. I have been using WonderWatt with IOG for more than a year. With no noticeable issues. No recent changes but still wondered if somehow GivEnergy/IOG/WonderWatt are having conflict? I've continued to investigate... with help ChatGPT as well.It seems the most likely reason is Grid overvoltageProbably happens most with:- high exports- sunny day- Full batteryBut not exclusively. Also happening today when production low (cloudy) and battery not full I will try and keep some capacity free in my battery as one test. Afaik Gen1 Hy5.0 has a max voltage of 253v before tripping? (DNO 230v +10%).My logs on first review show regular 256 -260vI contacted DNO to see if they can be persuaded to show some interest.Just wondered if any other suggestions to help diagnose or cure?EDIT: Sent info to DNO. Incredibly engineer sent within 3 hours.- ran initial tests- fitted a voltage monitor to run for 3 days with solar panels off- he is also arranging for line & pole checks for connections as well as potential swapping of phases (apparently one phase tends to run higher than other)amazing level of interest & speed of service!He will remove monitor after 1 week and I will update with news Edit2 I believe this problem may have been happening intermittently for a very long time. But only recently paid attention to it!

@transparent many thanks for the follow up. I sent my spreadsheet and a brief update to DNO via website. But no idea if its ended in a black hole!

I don't know if that would be useful if sent to you by email? Could you forward?

Definitely my overvoltage events and inverter disconnects havd massively reduced since the phase change. But as you point out... the underlying problem is not resolved

With the Powerwall 2 or 3 with a Gateway, grid voltage and frequency monitoring, and Grid disconnection is outwith the end user’s control.

And that's as it should be.

If the grid parameters could be adjusted after manufacture, then it shouldn't get G98 certification.

I remain concerned, however, that some manufacturers might retain a back-door through which they can upgrade the firmware and configuration remotely.
That's a downside of having inverters which can only be operated if the customer connects them to the manufacturer's site across the internet.

Personally I think it should be made illegal to have mandatory internet communications in order to use an inverter.
It would still be possible to use Bluetooth or a secure WiFi connection to communicate directly with an App on a Smart-Phone.

@tim441 - please don't send anything to me.

SSE must have direct communication with their customers for GDPR reasons.

Once the file notes have been looked at internally, they will decide the next step.

My role is to liaise with senior engineers in a DNO, to discuss the issues and risks which come to light here on the Forum. I'd like to see a generic appreciation of the problem, and a collaborative approach to deal with it.

The benefit of this Forum is that one member raises a problem, and then three others join in with "me too".
That allows a DNO to better evaluate the nature of the issue, and clarify whether it's a few faulty devices, or a generic problem which is going to grow if nothing's done.

Since the phase change, the situation has improved dramatically.

Slightly odd to note 3 days 3,4,5 July with multiple overvoltage events. However afaik there may have been no inverter disconnects - we normally hear the relays. And solar prod did not appear impacted. So perhaps brief spikes for some reason.

The last 5 days have seen no events and voltage in a better range despite high solar etc. Of course its possible DNO have done something that I am unaware of.

I will continue monitoring for now
