@patch. I understand that this indicates the ASHP is carrying out a 'freeze stat' operation and is perfectly normal, if annoying.
I actively turn my CH off during the summer. I know that doesn't answer your question, but I feel it is the best option.
@tim441 My ‘riskier end of things’ is I lose my warranty and RHI payments if the ASHP isn’t serviced.
