Reset after power cut

Hi,

We have a relatively new PV installation with Huawei inverter and batteries. So far it's working fine, but there's a little glitch.

Recently we have lot of short mains power cuts. The system works nicely in island mode, we can't even recognize the cuts.

But a circuit breaker goes down with every power cut and it doesn't reset after the mains power is back. Someone has to go out to the garage and manually switch it on again.

When that circuit breaker is down and the mains power back the PV system is only working on it's own. The panels are charging the battery, but no power flows towards the house.

It'll be quite a waste in summer if we go for a holiday, the power cut shuts the system off and for two weeks all power generated from the PV panels going to the air.

Does anyone has similar configuration? How is it working for you?

We have the same problem from time to time. I lost half of September one year not knowing there was a problem. Now if there's a short cut I just have to remember check the SolarEdge app or the inverter to see if production is down or not. I've not found any other way around this I'm afraid.

@marzipan71 the problem is that I don't even notice when it's a power cut. Even when I'm home. Let alone being on a holiday for weeks.

@kundk Hi yes I understand - after a power cut like I say we just check the app or the inverter. If we are out of the house then we know we've had a cut because the clock on our oven has reset and is flashing (time equals time since the power cut). Then I know to check the SolarEdge monitoring platform on the app. If I'm on holiday there's nothing I can do until we get home, but then my usage is minuscule so I'm less concerned. I've just learned to live with it flipping off - which isn't after every power cut I have to say. Not sure this a help - I'm just sharing that we have a similar issue.
