The Fronius IG30 inverter that came with the house's original FIT 2.66 kV solar system, appears to have given up the ghost. Its reporting a state 104 error. It might well have been my fault as I changed my consumer unit over to MCBOs, and the error started when I rebooted. Im assuming its nothing to do with the change from RCD+ MCB to MCBOs (or my wiring!).

Im looking for a cheap second hand replacement but know virtually nothing about what to get for a hassle free DIY job. So far Ive flagged it needs to be 3kW, have a low DC Startup voltage and ideally have the same DC connectors (although looking at it it might be directly wired)

Any help much appreciated 🙂

I just checked my 15 year old panels output last summer and they never got above 2.5kV so maybe one of these would fit the bill? https://midsummerwholesale.co.uk/buy/solax-inverters/SolaX-X1-MINI-2.5kW-G3

@bontwoody I have a single string 3kW solar AC inverter (non-hybrid), one year old, recently decommissioned as I've just had a Tesla Powerwall 3 installed, and moved my solar to the PW3's inbuilt inverter.

It's a Fox ESS S3000, user manual below:

Startup voltage is low at 60V

It's the same price new on Midsummer as the 2.5kW Solax you linked. Comes complete with wireless dongle for wifi and app

Happy to discuss 😀

Samsung 12kW gen6 ASHP with 50L volumiser and all new large radiators. 7.2kWp solar (south facing), Tesla PW3 (13.5kW)
Solar generation completely offsets ASHP usage annually. We no longer burn ~1600L of kerosene annually.
